The 2019 Mondot is plush, silky and delicious, just as it was en primeur. Bright red-toned fruit, cinnamon, mint, crushed rocks, blood orange and exotic spice lend gorgeous primary intensity. Soft contours and bright acids give the 2019 tons of appeal and sheer vibrancy. Aging 60% in barrel and 40% in tank, is an approach that preserves quite a bit of freshness.

The 2018 vintage is a great wine year in Bordeaux. It is characterized by two very distinct climatic periods: a wet start to the season and a second particularly dry period from July. The vines thus took advantage of these conditions and by the end of September, the grapes were very concentrated with thick skins.
