Gaja’s Ca'Marcanda Promis 2020 may get noticed for its aromas of cherries, plums and sandalwood, plus its notes of local Mediterranean bushes and berries, but the real magic lies in its production. Hailing from one of Piedmont’s most-loved wineries, this blend sees Merlot meet Syrah and Sangiovese, with each grape fermented and macerated separately for around 15 days and aged in oak for a year before being finally blended together. The care put into this bottle – along with its good acidity and firm tannins – give it unrivalled cellaring potential.
